About Me

Besides being my initials, ARO is a New Testament Greek word for “art”.I began my interest in Graphic Design during my high school years while taking a Media Production course. I loved everything I learned, but back then I was more interested in photography and upon graduation chose to attend The New England School of Photography in Boston, Massachusetts. After attending school in Boston for a year, circumstances led me back to Michigan. In 2003 I happened upon a bindery job for a small printing company in Holland. After working there for a year, the Graphic Designer for the company was departing and the position was open. Taking a risk, I offered to take the open position. My offer was accepted and it has turned out to be the best chance I’ve ever taken. I have learned so much about the printing industry, design and myself along the way. Graphic Design is an amazing field to be in. There are always new challenges to face, new things to learn, new ideas to be developed. I love being able to help people bring their ideas to life and even helping them find their ideas and provide solutions to their problems. Browsing through my work, you will find versatility, simplicity and creativity.
